Determined to continue the tradition of repertory theatre in Nairobi - a tradition which has existed for over 45 years - the Phoenix Players stage an average of 15 to 16 plays a year in the intimate 120 seat auditorium. And it is a unique tradition indeed, as no other theatre on the continent presents theatre on a continuous repertory basis.

The play programme is varied to appeal to a variety of tastes and while the core of our actors are professional actors of great experience and versatility, casts are often supplemented with the considerable amateur talent available in Nairobi - and we are always on the look out for new faces!

 

We offer costume hire, set design and construction, lighting design and construction, skits for occasions such as launches, anniversaries and dinners

Phoenix Players is completely self - supporting, receiving no subsidies from the Government or the City Council. For this reason audience and member support is crucial.
